About

About us

Darwin Office Technology has been established in Darwin for 26 years. Our business has been built on our dedication to short response times across the Territory and our commitment to delivering a high quality and local service.

We’ve developed strong, long-term client relationships throughout the Territory during our years of operation and service a range of businesses, organisations, schools and remote locations. We are one of the largest stockists of printing technology in the Territory and store all of our supplies locally, meaning no waiting time for you.

Our Remote Service program is designed for the Territory. We provide technology across the whole of the NT with the service and expertise to support it.

From then to now…

In 1995, we started out in a tiny building on the Stuart Highway. As Darwin Office Technology grew and our goals evolved, we made the crucial move to a purpose-built premise in Benison Road, Winnellie. This is where you’ll find us today.

The building is designed to suit the needs of our industry and give us the capacity to provide a full range of services to our clients from one location.

Local Employment Opportunities

We directly employ 15 staff who live and work in the Territory, contributing to the local economy.

Buy Local Policy

We always prioritise Territory owned businesses in our supply chain. For example, we changed our fuel supplier from a large multinational company headquartered in Victoria to Fuel Xpress (FX) who is a locally owned and operated Darwin-based fuel distributor.

Collaboration with Regional Councils

As a part of our Buy Local approach, we work closely with regional councils when our team is in regional and remote areas of the NT. We work with councils to find suppliers of logistics and other local services.

Indigenous Skill Integration Program

As a part of our Remote Servicing Program, our technicians often go to community schools and teach students about what they do as photocopier technicians. We’re also working with our technicians and various schools to develop a more formal, structured and student-focused presentation to use when they are visiting remote schools.

Driving efficiencies in local organisation

We collaborate with local business, NT Government and Land Councils to improve the efficiency of different processes. For example, we worked with the Northern Land Council to streamline their archiving process and bring documents created 50 years ago into line with Federal legislation standards.

Supporting local not-for-profit entities

We support 18 local not-for-profit organisations through donations, sponsorship and community engagement.

Active members of the local business community

Darwin Office Technology are longstanding members of the NT Chamber of Commerce and the NT Industry Capability Network (ICN NT). We exchange ideas and experiences around best practice with the goal of helping all members develop and grow.

Promoting youth employment

We actively contribute to the reduction of youth unemployment through the Flexible Work Program, our NT School Leaver HAP Program and our participation in the Employment and Careers expo.

Agility to support local industry

We quickly adapt to changing conditions to benefit our clients and therefore local industry. For example, at the start of the COVID-19 lockdown, we changed our processes to ensure that remove servicing clients still got the support they need.
